J.J. McCarthy ignites Vikings’ 27-24 comeback over Bears in a high-drama NFL debut

Down 17-6 after a pick-six, rookie J.J. McCarthy rallied the Vikings to a 27-24 win over the Bears in his NFL debut. He threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns, then added a rushing score. Caleb Williams answered late for Chicago, but Minnesota held on. It’s McCarthy’s first real game since Michigan’s 2023 title run and extends the Vikings’ recent dominance in the rivalry.
